Car Tunnel/Ramp Out Of A Wrapping Paper Tube

Sometimes when you are a mom you come up with creative ways for little boys to have fun.  This is a ramp/tunnel that we rolled cars down.  In the background, I also made a stove out of a box.  I let him use old pots and pans to play with the box stove.  This is what you do when you cant afford a toy kitchen or a car ramp but they don't know the difference.  As long as they are loved, safe, learning and having fun that is all that really matters.

Learning your colors

I wanted you to learn your colors so I found this game on Pinterest.  I used brown paper bags, tape and construction paper.  The instructions were for beginners to only use two colors.  I had you use your leggo's.   You got the idea in the beginning to put the red and green one's in the bags but then you wanted to put the rest of your leggo's in the bags.  This was one of the many ways I taught you your colors.  I also used the IPAD, identifying everyday objects around you, using crayons, paints, clothing and other games.

Blanket Fort

This is the first blanket fort we made.  You put your stuffed animals inside.  You liked to crawl in and out. The fort didn't last long because you kept pulling the blanket down.

You started eating baby food in June (when you were 4 months old).  You started eating rice cereal when you were 3 months old.  The doctor told us to put you on rice cereal because you were not sleeping through the night (she felt the milk was not enough).  Also you had acid reflux.  You would throw up so we had to put you on a special formula.  Eventually feeding you before you went to bed and cluster feeding you during the day helped you not wake up every 2 to 3 hours.  You started only waking up 1 to 2 times at night.  Then you would wake up only once.  You started sleeping through the night when you were about 1 1/2.

When you were born you weighed 8lbs 3oz.  You were 19 3/4 inches long.  You were born at around 3:30 am.  By the time we got to our room it was 5:30am.  The nurses put you in with the other babies so mommy could rest.  You screamed and cried all night long.  I didn't know it until the next morning when the nurse brought you in at 7am.  At that point I only had 1 hour sleep.  You had some visitors who came to see you at the hospital.  Grandpa Bruce and Nichole.  Carol, Aunt susie and her two grandsons Tony and Shane.  Alyson also came and brough us something to eat. The visitors left around 8:30pm. Then they took you out to put you back with the other babies so mommy could get some sleep.  Daddy went home to sleep and he came back at 7am and brought mommy some McDonald's.  He took care of you so mommy could rest.  When we put you back with the other babies at nighttime, you screamed all night again.  The next morning the nurses brought you in aroung the same time.  I had more rest this time.  Daddy came back around the same time.  You were just fine when you were around mommy and daddy.  When we first brought you home from the hospital, you slept in the car the whole time.  You came home to the same house mommy grew up in.  We lived with your Uncle Johnny at the time.  The outfit you came home from the hospital in was also your church outfit.  You looked so darn cute in it! Also this photo was taken around the time you first rolled over April 21, 2012.
